The building complies with mandatory recycling procedures, and we ask that you join us in this endeavor.
Studies show that each office worker throws away an average of a half-pound of recyclable paper every day. That is the equivalent of 1.2 tons a year from an office of just 20 employees. Over 20.4 trees and 819 gallons of oil are needed each year just to keep an office of 20 employees afloat in paper.
Your participation in this program does make a difference.
For every piece of paper you recycle, you will protect the environment, save natural resources, conserve scarce landfill space and reduce disposal costs. Property Managers are available to explain the program to your employees.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
Office Paper - Cardboard Boxes
Every employee will be provided a "Recycle Now" container. ALL recyclable mixed office paper should be placed in the employee's recycle container. Cardboard boxes should be marked trash and will be handled by the janitorial staff. The janitorial staff will empty the recycle container nightly.
All non-recyclable items should be placed in the employee’s existing container located at each desk or at a designated receptacle. The janitorial staff will empty these containers nightly.
All food waste items (apple cores, etc.) should be disposed of in the kitchen receptacle or in a designated area receptacle. The janitorial staff will empty these containers nightly.
